Regular Silk (Blue Gold)

The silk prayer shawls are woven from a combination of natural and artificial fibers creating shawls with a feel of silk. The prayer shawl design was drawn and planned by the weaving artist Chaim Avner in 1929, to provide a response to the silk cloth shawls produced over a century ago in Italy and Syria, and since then produced unchanged.

The cloth is woven in a complex Jacquard weave pattern encompassing within it the blessing of the tzitzit mitzvah. The tzitzit tips are finished with delicate fringe threads creating a prestigious appearance.
